Horizontal Directional Drilling

We actually find boring pretty darn exciting.

Horizontal Directional Drilling is a steerable trenchless method of installing underground pipes, conduits and cables along an engineered bore path by using a surface launched drilling rig. This creates minimal impact on the surrounding area. Directional drilling, or boring, is used when trenching or excavating is not practical.

No job too big or small
From thousands of feet of bore on the shoulder of the interstate to a twenty-foot shot under a driveway, no project is too large or too small. We are able to install cable, conduit, or a combination of multiple products for whatever your needs may be.

The process minimizes environmental disruption. It is suitable for a variety of soil conditions and jobs, including road, landscape and river crossings.

Applications
SCi has drilled for many customers, including private homeowners, utility companies, and the Department of Transportation. All companies can benefit from drilling, including homebuilders, landscapers, and sewer and electrical contractors.

  • On-Grade sewer Bores
  • River Bores
  • Road Crossing
  • Ability to pull products up to 30” in diameter and distances in excess of 1000 feet.

Hydro Vacuum Excavation
In conjunction with HDD, Hydro Vacuum Excavation is used for potholing utilities and cleanup of drilling mud to maintain a safer working environment and minimize intrusion of existing utilities.
