______________________________________________________________________________________________ The IMSA Great Basin Section hosted the 2nd Annual Section meeting at the Miller Campus Center in Sandy in the Karen Gale Miller Conference Center (KGMC) on 22 September 2009. The event was well attended by both members and vendors the guest speaker was Steve Knopp the IMSA International Vice President and a member of the Northwest Section. The Great Basin Section President would like to thank all the vendors who participated in either having a display or that gave a technical presentation. The vendors in attendance were: Gades Sales also a technical topic presenter Econolite also a technical topic presenter Summit Traffic also a technical topic presenter Signal also a technical topic presenter Milbank Mfg. AD Technologies SensysNetworks Power & Tel Enterprises (Clifford) IMSA (Training) Two presentations were made this year to Sorenson Construction Inc. for having most enrolled members in a private sector organization and having attended the most training sessions this past year (see photo Bob Strong and Steve Brinkerhoff of SCI). Next year the Section is working on Co-Hosting a conference with the local chapter of the ITE, date to be determined. We have had another successful training year and have increased our Section by over 100% from four years ago.
