Craig F. Sorensen
CEO

In 1977 Craig started creating his legacy. Since the beginning, he has succeeded in cultivating the business into the success it is today. With an employee base of over 300 employees, Craig has made a statement by keeping SCI a family oriented company for more than 30 years. In his immediate family, all four sons have excelled and become Managers within the organization, and his wife (Debbie Sorensen, Secretary/ Treasurer) and oldest son (Chad Sorensen, President) are both on the seven-member Executive Committee. Together, the SCI family has grown into the united company we know today as “Sorensen Companies, Inc.” Craig has also encouraged his extended family of employees to take ownership of the organization, move up within the company, and be part of the reason that SCI is successful for many years to come.

Craig’s educational background comes from both Weber State University and Davis Applied Vocational Center. His extensive field knowledge was earned since the beginning (with Mountain Bell Telephone), and he is proficient in all areas of the business – from the office functions to equipment operation.

Craig has his private pilot’s license, sits on the Board of Director’s for the Associated Builders and Contractors of Utah, holds a Board of Director’s position with the Captive Resource Insurance Group (NCI), is a Master Graduate of Rapport Leadership International, and continues to challenge himself with new ventures everyday - the latest being a voice for the contractors in Utah supporting and informing Utah Legislators about the Sewer Lateral Legislation affecting home owners, utility companies and contractors.
